Rezzil Takes the Field at MLS NEXT Fest: Showcasing the Best Youth Talent in North America

MLS NEXT is making waves in North America and their ethos is all about developing young players and giving them the best possible training and competition opportunities. It’s open to players aged 13-19, and the focus is all on individual player development. 

What we love about MLS NEXT is how player-centric it is. They’re really invested in helping players develop their skills and reach their full potential. And they’re not just about the games – there’s a real emphasis on collaboration between clubs, coaches, and players to create a positive soccer culture that benefits everyone. They’re doing some really exciting things, and we’re thrilled to be a part of their efforts to develop the next generation of soccer stars.

Rezzil recently had the pleasure of being a part of the MLS NEXT Fest, a seven-day soccer extravaganza held in Indio, California. This event was the ultimate showcase for more than 430 of the most talented youth soccer teams from across the United States and Canada. And it wasn’t just about competition – the goal was to give young players the chance to show off their skills to college recruiters, national team scouts, and professional coaches.

At the event, players got to compete in all sorts of challenges, from the MLS NEXT Fest Showcase to the Generation adidas Cup qualifiers. The Generation Adidas Cup play off and showcase games are taking place today (9^th April) and we would like to wish all the players competing good luck from Team Rezzil! 

As well as participating on the pitch, all players at MLS Next Fest were able to experience the ultimate off-field player training tools at the adidas athlete HQ. That’s where we came in – we were set up with our very own Rezzil Index to showcase the latest in player development technology.

What exactly is the Rezzil Index, you ask? It’s a suite of virtual drills that’s been validated by academics and used by top clubs, players, and managers worldwide. These cognitive drills provide valuable data on player characteristics such as decision making, spatial awareness, and agility. The data is securely stored and can be accessed in real-time through an online web portal, allowing coaches, scouts, or managers to easily benchmark and promote competition within the club. 

With Rezzil Index, you can educate and improve any player, regardless of their level – and we couldn’t have been more excited to share it with the MLS NEXT Fest athletes.

All in all, the MLS NEXT Fest was a huge success for Rezzil. It’s always amazing to see the next generation of soccer stars in action and to have the chance to help them reach their full potential. Who knows – maybe we’ll be seeing some of these players in the big leagues someday soon!
